Can I add staff to my Crate account?

Yes. Crate invites staff to a business by email and gives each person their own login rather than a shared password. Permissions in Crate are set per person, so a shop assistant processes orders without seeing payouts, settings or the customer list. A Crate account keeps a record of who did what, which is what makes a shared till answerable. Access is revoked in Crate the day someone leaves, without changing anyone else's login. How many staff seats a business gets depends on its Crate plan, and the Crate pricing page is where that is stated. Crate staff accounts work from a phone.

What it does

Capabilities

Everyone signs in as themselves. That single fact is what makes a shared till answerable.

Invite by email

Each person gets their own login rather than a shared password.

Permissions per person

Open orders and products to one person, and keep payouts and settings to yourself.

Payouts stay private

Staff can run the shop without ever seeing bank details or settlement.

A record of who did what

Actions are attributable, which is the point of separate logins.

Revoke in a click

Someone leaves, their access ends, and nobody else changes a password.

Change access later

Open more as you trust them with more, or pull it back if you need to.

Who it is for

Fit

Roles start to matter the day a second pair of hands touches the dashboard.

You just hired your first assistant

They need orders and stock. They do not need your payouts, and now they cannot reach them.

You run more than one counter

Access and reporting are per person and per location, so the takings are attributable.

Family helps at the weekend

Temporary access, granted and revoked in a click, without a password everyone knows.

Setup

How it works

Two minutes per person, and it is reversible.

  1. Open the team screen and invite the person by email.
  2. Choose what they can reach: orders, products, customers, settings.
  3. They accept and sign in as themselves, under their own login.
  4. Adjust or revoke their access at any time, without touching anyone else's.

Set up from a phone. No developer, no plugin to buy, nothing to install.

Team and roles questions

Can I invite my staff to help run the shop?

Yes. Add each person by email from your team screen and they get a link to join your business. They sign in as themselves rather than under a shared password.

Can I control what each person can do?

Yes. You set permissions per person, so each teammate reaches only the parts you open to them, from orders and products to payouts and settings.

Can I keep payouts and bank details private?

Yes. You can let someone handle orders or stock while keeping payouts, bank details and sensitive settings to yourself.

What happens when a teammate leaves?

Remove their access in a click and they can no longer sign in. Because everyone has their own login, there is no shared password to change.

Can I change someone's access later?

Yes. Adjust what a person can do at any time. Open more as you trust them with more, or pull it back if you need to.

Hand over the work, not the keys.

Separate logins, permissions per person, and one click to revoke. Free for 14 days, no card required.
