KYC tiers and wallet withdrawal limits
Verify your business once to unlock higher payout limits. Crate's two KYC tiers set how much you can withdraw from your Crate Wallet each day — Tier 1 lifts you to ₦1,000,000 a day, Tier 2 takes you up to ₦10,000,000.
Before Crate can send your sales revenue to a bank account, it has to confirm who you are. This follows the same identity rules Nigerian payment providers operate under, so the bank-account name you withdraw to always matches a verified business.
Crate has two verification tiers, and the tier you reach decides two things: the type of bank account you can add, and how much you can withdraw from your Crate Wallet in a day.
What each tier unlocks

- Single withdrawal limit — the most you can move in one transaction.
- Daily withdrawal limit — the total you can withdraw across the day. It resets at the start of each new day.
Why verify
If you only ever take small payouts, Tier 1 is enough. But the moment a busy sales day pushes your wallet balance past ₦1,000,000, Tier 1's daily cap will hold the rest back until tomorrow. Completing Tier 2 once removes that ceiling for good and lets you settle into a registered business account.
Tip: You only need your BVN to start. Have your CAC business name and RC number ready if you want to jump straight to Tier 2 in the same submission.
After you submit
Crate reviews your details and emails you the decision, usually within 24–48 hours. While a submission is pending you'll see a Submission under review note on the KYC page. As soon as you're approved, the new limit applies automatically — there's nothing else to switch on, and your next withdrawal can use the higher cap.

Open KYC verification
From your Crate dashboard, open KYC under the Operations section of the sidebar. This is where you verify your business and see your current tier.

See your tiers and limits
The tier cards show exactly what each level unlocks. Tier 1 needs only your BVN and lets you withdraw up to ₦1,000,000 per transaction and per day. Tier 2 adds your business name (CAC) and RC number and raises you to ₦5,000,000 per transaction, ₦10,000,000 per day. Your active tier is marked Current.

Submit your verification
In Submit verification, enter your 11-digit BVN for Tier 1. To go straight to Tier 2, also add your business name and RC number, then click Submit for review.

Watch your limit lift
Once approved, your tier badge updates and the higher withdrawal limit applies immediately. You can confirm your available limit any time on this page or on the Crate Wallet screen before a withdrawal.
